Longford Station Pty Ltd owns and operates a substantial Japanese Black Wagyu breeding and production operation at Longford Station, Bendemeer NSW 2355. As at the current date the breeding herd consists of approximately 1,800 Full Blood breeding females plus approximately 200 ET recipient females.
Longford Station consists of approximately 7,300 hectares of pasture improved grazing country situated near Bendemeer in the South Western New England Tablelands. The production is also currently supported by approximately 350 hectares of irrigated pastures and fodder cropping.
Longford Wins 2023 Reserve Champion!
Congratulations Pam and Arthur on winning 2023 Reserve Champion at the AWA Branded Beef Awards last night in front of 600 people in Sydney. Thanks to Stockyards entry, we have been recognized to be one of the best of the best. The reserve champion is the second place overall highest score across all entries in the competition. This award recognizes the outstanding achievement in the production of Wagyu beef to its highest standard. A huge pat on the back for all involved in keeping Longford Station Wagyu not only running, but thriving! Bring on tonight's sale!
Our head stockman, Josh Smith is our representative at this years conference and we hope he is having a great time and learning a lot. Hold your head high for us all Josh! Well done.
