Arthur & Pam's Highlights at Longford Station
In 2002 Arthur and Pam Dew were presented with a certificate 25 year membership of the Australian Wagyu Association. In 2019 Arthur Dew was presented with Honorary Life Membership of the Australian Wagyu Association.
Longford has enjoyed success in Wagyu production producing several leading sires over the years. This has been achieved through the collection and analysis of carcass data.
Recently in 2020 our LFD12558 Mr. Awesome won first place in the Australian Wagyu Association / Kerwee Net Profitability Awards. Mr. Awesome has become somewhat of a superstar Wagyu sire and initial data from his sons is looking very promising.
In 2022, our LFD12559 won second place in the Australian Wagyu Association / Kerwee Nett Feed Intake Awards. Earlier in 2019 LFDC11752 won the first place in those awards.
We will continue to support these trials and other programs directed towards improvement of overall Wagyu performance.
We are currently participating, as one of the Contributer Herds in the 2021 – 2031 Australian Wagyu Association Progeny Test Program.
We will continue with our own research programs as well as supporting the Australian Wagyu Association and other programs.
